When he started as a professional photographer in 2003, Edward Wright already had a great experience behind him. “I studied underwater archeology and photography was an integral part of my university course,” he recalls. Based in the prestigious city of Monaco, Edward Wright covers many events: weddings, baptisms, birthdays for individuals but also photoshoots of the interiors of yachts or luxury hotels, landscape photographs, portraits, reports, aerial photos … “It is this diversity of subjects that I particularly like in my job” explains this enthusiast who attaches great importance to respecting the privacy of his clients by ensuring them total discretion, at the time when the tendency is rather to publish everything on social networks. At the same time, Edward Wright is also a contributor for Getty Images, an opportunity that allows him to open up to other circles while bringing him additional recognition.
A photographer who listens to his clients
If Edward Wright had to define his approach to the profession, it would be to listen to his clients, not trying at all costs to impose a style. “In Monaco, with an international clientele, it is essential to be able to adapt to different demands. Depending on the nationality, customers will have opposing expectations. Some want very posed photos, while others want, on the contrary, a more natural reporting spirit ”. But what does not change for Edward Wright is the constant search through his lens of emotion, which involves a smile, a look, a detail, a particular light …
